Joanna Saturna is a true gem of Finnish sailing heritage. This two-masted schooner is one of the oldest sailing vessels in the region, and despite the passage of time, she continues to impress with her elegance and excellent technical condition.
The history of this vessel began over 120 years ago in the Netherlands, where she was built as an iron fishing lugger. For decades, she carried out demanding work on the North Sea before being acquired in 2000 by a Finnish sailing enthusiast. She then underwent an extraordinary transformation – after three years of meticulous restoration in the port of Turku, she was reborn as a luxurious passenger sailing schooner.
Today, Joanna Saturna combines the rugged character of a historic vessel with modern comfort. Her visit to Szczecin offers a unique opportunity to admire how attention to detail can preserve maritime heritage in all its glory.
