Cruise to the Concreter’s wreck

More information

The cruise route begins at the Passenger Quay. We then sail along the Western Oder, passing the proudly standing Chrobry Embankments, the central riverside landmark of Szczecin on the Oder River. Next, we turn back and, passing along Grodzka Island, enter the fairly busy port waters near the Szczecin Port Captain’s Office.

Passing the quays of the former shipbuilding yard on the western side and the grain elevator on the eastern side, we enter the Grabowski Canal, which leads us north along the main navigation route past the Gryfia Ship Repair Yard, located on two islands. On the eastern side, we pass Orli Przesmyk, which connects the port waters with Lake Dąbie.

After passing Dock No. 5, we enter the charming Święta River, which takes us to Lake Dąbie. On the lake, we set course northward, heading toward the cormorant habitat. After a few minutes, we reach the wreck of the “concrete ship,” located in the northern part of Lake Dąbie, where it has rested since World War II.

Leaving the lake, we cross the shipping lane and enter the Skolwiński Canal, then continue south along the main navigation route past the northern districts of Szczecin. Sailing south, we pass the pilot station, Bismarck Tower, and Gocław Marina. After passing the Gryfia Shipyard, we return to the passenger quay.
